The Chop ShopKC
Our history of The Chop Shop began in 1990, when our
founder and President, Heath Porter founded what is now one of
the most recognized car clubs in the mid-west (Paradise Car
Club).The desire: to bring together the many diverse and young groups
of individuals in the Kansas City Metropolitan area which led him to
recruit and grow upon what is now an organization that has lasted
decades.
Heath
took the concept further by introducing the clothing brand "Paradise Originals" in 1996 (started from the trunk of his car).
Heath partners with one of the best local designers, Stan RushII.
Stan provides all
the shops graphic designs. The two have been noted as one of the
only private label clothing brands from the Midwest to ever show at
the MAGIC Apparel show. showing 3 years consecutively! We were also making sales to 18 other states as well as Canada, Japan,
Netherlands, Germany, England, France and parts in Asia. Through the
apparel shows we gained knowledge of design, sales & marketing of
apparel. In 1999 we introduced the Bennis Visor, Paridian Cap and
the Brimmer Bucket, our own patent pending style of headwear.
After
traveling the nation and selling apparel abroad we decided to
open a store, providing the latest and new versions of our apparel
brand "Paradise Originals". In September of 2000 THE CHOP SHOP was
opened. Outgrowing the 500 sq ft space, the shopped moved to its
present location, 1315 S. Noland Rd, Independence, Mo 64055.
Through the
many pitfalls of business, THE CHOP SHOP prides itself on our
quality, design and turn around times. Since the companies inception
we have added a large group of services. Apparel Design, Custom
tailored motorcycle vest & seats, Embroidery, Screen-printing,
Graphic Design, Printing, Vinyl Graphic Design and installation,
Banners & Specialty Signs, along with apparel sales. To date, the
company has worked with a host of movie & sports stars. We also work
with many different organizations, clubs, churches and companies:
designing, altering and embroidering items to their liking.
Here at THE
CHOP SHOP we believe you make the moment what you will. Our many
avenues of ability give us the reason to call it "THE ONE STOP SHOP".
